How do i put my cats on a diet!!!?
I have 2 cats that will be a year old in march, they're brother & sister. I got them both fixed in september. now ever since I cant get them to stop eating the female is huge They just keep on eating, I go thru a 21 lb bag of cat food in a month They both have been wormed, so I know thats not it. How do i diet them? I dont want to starve them.
Male cats mating habits?
I have 5 cats who are like my children. 3 adults and 2 kittens 4 months 1 male and 1 female My adult cats are 2 females and 1 male. They are all persian and mix persian. I started with 2 cats 1 male and 1 female. however the female did not allow the male to mate with her. Of course they are both inexperienced as I got them when they were kittens, the other 3 cats were obtained just in december 2008.My question is, the second female I got recently was with the intention to mate my male persian as the female I have does not allow him to mate. When the second female came in heat, my male only mated with her the first 2 days and refuses to mate with her again, although she tries her best to seduce him. he just walks off. When is first came she was very unsociable and refuse to mix with the others and would growl when they passed by. However when she came on heat, she was willing to mix with the male and has gotten a little friendlier with the others accept the adult female. Also when my male mated with the 2nd female who is on heat, of course after mating she got aggresive with him and he ran off after withdrawing. I wondering if he may be afraid of her since he has no experience and does not know that all females would do that after mating, and that is why he refuses to mate with her anymore.Since yesterday, I noticed he has been showing alot of interest in my female kitten who is only 4 months and not on heat yet. He has been trying to mate with her instead. Of course I have been keeping a close watch as I dont want him to be a phedophile lol . He seem to have fallen in love with the kitten and has been trying his luck. I wondering why he refuses to mate with a female who is on heat and accessible but instead going after a kitten who is not on heat even.

my boyfriend and i had a row and he upset me a lot which lead to a few days of me crying. the cat was in the room when we rowed and sat there looking at us . my boyfriend left and i was very unhappy for about 4 days my cat stayed with me constantly and did not leave my side slept on me and when i got in the bath waited for me . when my cat saw my boyfriend after this he was so off with him it unbelievable redundant want him touching him and kept turning his back on him. my boyfriend lived with me before and when he come back the cat has no feeling for him before he used to sleep with him lay with him all day follow him everywhere . now hdoesn'tnt want to know him which is weird as the cat has always had me and my boyfriend together as we got him at the same time. i am with my cat more so do you think its a way of the cat saying he is annoyed with my boyfriend for upsetting me ? so thats why he is ignoring him

My cat is obsessed with his food,runs to his dish 24 7,will not stop meowing for food even when it is being prepared for him.He is almost 6 years old and has gotten worse.We have moved him around a few times,and he has been around other cats he is male always had to be the first to eat.The thing now is we are not suppose to have a cat in our new apt and cannot afford to pay the $350 deposit right now.He is meowing all loud and we don't know what to do.Any advice at all would help.I don't want to get kicked out.Going crazy here.A person I have tired that and he still runs to his dish and eats all of it and won't leave any for later and meows.
Senior cat eating excessively?
My friend's family has a senior cat, about 13 years old. She is an indoor outdoor cat. Lately whenever I am over at my friend's house I have noticed that the cat is constantly looking for food. They only feed the cat dry food and only once a day, but this is how the cat has always been fed and if she is fed more than once a day she gobbles up her food and licks the bowl clean everytime. I know this is a new habit, the cat did not behave like this 5 years ago when I met my friend. The cat will eat anything, tonight I witnessed her eating peas and carrots from a pot left on the counter and she was eating the graham cracker crust from a slice of cheesecake. Also a bout a month ago I noticed the cat seemed to be acting weird. She was letting out these horrible meows and she honestly sounded like she was in pain. From watching the way the cat eats I am thinking she may have worms.I know my friend's parents do not take their pets to the vet, which is something I do not approve of I was thinking of taking th cat to the vet myself, but I know that if I do, the vet is probably going to want to give it all kinds of shots and probably run all kinds of tests. Now if this was my own cat or the family was going to give some money towards the bill I would mind, but I'm pretty sure money is the main reason why their pets don't go to the vet. And since I have two cats of my own that I must provide and care for I can not afford the expense of a third.So, I am wondering if anyone might be able to give me some ideas as to what would be causing the cat to act like she's starving? I'm also wondering if maybe I should try a dewormer from a pet store and see if that helps? I know my friend would pay the vet bills if it was his cat, but since it's more his brother and sister's cat he feels they or his parents should care for it, and his financal situation is also not the best. He has told his mother that there is something wrong with " Kitty" and she needs to go to the vet, but his mother just says she's fine. And for some reason his family seems to be in denial that pets need medical care like people.So, I'm just looking for some ideas and suggestions as to what my friend and I can possibly do. Or maybe this excessive eating is something normal for older cats?Also, I completely agree with anyone who feels you shouldn't have a pet if you aren't going to properly care for it, and vet visits are involved in proper care for a pet. We have tried to explain to his family that pets need doctors too, but our words fall on deaf ears.
My cat is sick. What could it be?
My kitten Berrykit is sick. Her symptoms are runny nose, excessive sneezing, wheezy breathing, and watery eyes. She is not lethargic, anemic, fatigued, or feverish. She is active and has had these problems since I found her in late September when she was around 3 4 weeks old . She barely gained any wait though barely doubled in wieght since I found her and she was half starved then . She does not have loose stool diarrea sp? and she drinks plenty of water. NOTE I am only looking for suggestions AND yes, I am going to take her to the vet soon, I was just wondering if anyone had thoughts.she never got worse she got BETTER . and she eats ALOT of food. I'm not stupid. If she was dying i would take her to the vet. I have 8 other cats and none of them have got it from her either ? ?I never said she was SKINNY I would never let her get skinny She is nice and full fed She is just smaller than any other kitten of her age. I have seen 2 other litters of kittens grow from birth .How could I let her get skinny o.o gasp I have videos of her on Youtube.com you can see that she is well cared for. my username is Samcatlover she is in PippaLife and Jingle Bell Rock Take a look if you think I am keeping a abused animal. u ppl make me cry T TO and if I didnt have the kitten it would be dead now anyways I saved it from the outdoors when she couldn't eat I bottle fed her for a month When I found her she was a twig and had her eyes sealed shut with pus Don't say mean things I SAVED her... pouty face her mom was moved by the ppl who owned her mom. they must have not seen this kitten though.

My pet male cat is not coming inside our home,she is behaving like stranger to our family memebers,?
He male cats take food ,but not coming inside our home, we used to keep hom out at night,and he ued to come home sharp 6 am morning,but last 2 days he male cat 1 year old only,not coming inside house and sleep on sofa like previously with his 2 sisters 2 famale cats ,Why he is behaving like stranger,he comes in for eating at evening last 2 days and gets frihtened by small nise unknown to hime,he eats milk,dry fish and boiled egg with roti plus milk,what should i do as he frightens when i tried to touch him and try to escapes
